Beginning in 2022-2023, all grade levels will be responsible for planning and executing a service project for the school. The project is designed by each class during the month of August and a specific month is chosen for the project to take place. We are looking forward to serving the community and living out our virtues in practice.

Wreaths Across America
National Wreaths Across America Day is on December 17 this year. Our students will sell wreath sponsorships throughout the month of November and then participate in the wreath laying at DFW National Cemetery.
On National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission to remember, honor, and teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery as well as at more than 2,100 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad.
We understand we have Veterans Day in the fall and Memorial Day in the spring, but our service members sacrifice their time and safety every single day of the year to preserve our freedoms.
In many homes, there is an empty seat for one who is serving or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. There is no better time to express our appreciation than during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. We hope you will join us at any of our more than 2,500 participating locations to show our veterans and their families that we will not forget. We will never forget.
Join us by volunteering to lead, organize and/or facilitate this event at our school. Please contact Mrs. Beth Mulligan for more information about how you can help! For more information about the programs, visit Wreaths Across America.
Veteran's Day Parade and Ceremony
On November 11, SPCCS hosts the only Veteran's Day Parade in Richardson. In partnership with the Knights of Columbus and Saint Paul the Apostle Parish, the parade honors the veterans of the community who have sacrificed their time and life for our country's freedom. Following the parade, a ceremony is held in the school gym enabling veterans to share their stories and teach our students about patriotism and the gift of freedom. The parade kicks off in the parking lot at the Parish Hall and concludes at the school's circle drive. The Student Council serves as the Master of Ceremonies while the winners of the Patriot's Pen Writing Contest read their essays on patriotism. Most importantly, the virtue of patriotism is practiced and handed down to the next generation. It is an honor and privilege to host these brave men and women and recognize them for their service.
Catholic Charities Canned Food Drive
Every year, SPCCS participated in a canned food drive to support Catholic Charities food drive. Be on the lookout for more information on this important project.
During Catholic Schools Week, our students use the "Celebrate Students" Day as a way to serve the community and give back. The lower grades fill snack bags for Minnie's Pantry while the upper elementary grades pick up trash at the local park. The middle school spends time at the North Texas Food Bank and Feed My Starving Children.
