Eighth grade students have received their ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) review books. It is important to allocate time each week (specifically weekends) for preparation and review of materials that have been assigned in the book. Succes = effort; effort = success! Students will be exposed to upper level vocabulary daily in class. Students are expected to write the "fancy words" in their ISEE folders. These words are discussed as part of our daily warm up.
We are currently learning to write an equation from a word problem. Students are writing a word problem to match a given equation to reinforce clue words. Then students will write an equation and solve it for word problems.
Test Make-up day, for ALL classes, will be Wednesday during recess in Room 22. If you cannot access Ren Web to check your child's grade, please contact Mrs. Keddy, m.keddy@spsdfw.org
Did you know that the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade English textbooks contain a diagramming section in the latter part of the book? Students are encouraged to use the diagram section for reference when completing homework or diagramming assignments.
