All students who need to take any type of medication, whether prescription or over-the-counter, while at school MUST have a medication permission form filled out and on file in the Clinic. This form must be received in the Saint Paul Clinic prior to any medication being administered.
Sunscreens are regulated by the FDA and are to be treated at school like any other medication, with the appropriate medication permission form on file in the school office.
Please follow the link below to obtain printable copies of the forms. Once completed, you can drop it off at school to the attention of Nurse Lee, or email it to her at [email protected].

When the temperature and/or wind chill is below 35 degrees F, the children should be kept indoors for physical education and recess. Cold weather will also result in cancellation of the eighth grade courtyard lunch privilege. When the temperature is above 35 degrees F, the children should be properly dressed for outdoor activity. Students need to be prepared during the cold months; it is acceptable to leave a coat at school so that students have a coat if needed for going outside during cold weather.
Heat Index of 105 or higher – NO outside activity
Heat Index of 100-104 – NO recess or outside PE
Heat Index of less than 100 – usual activity
If you would like your child to remain indoors during an Orange Day, please write a note to be kept on file in the Health Clinic and we will keep them indoors every Orange Day.
Note: If the afternoon heat index is anticipated to reach 105, but the AM temperature or heat index is still acceptable, early morning outdoor activity will be allowed.
