We look forward to making your child's first grade experience one that is exciting and fun as well as academically sound. First grade is a year of tremendous growth for your child! We are looking forward to working together with you to help develop not only their academic skills but to build on their independent work habits, problem solving skills and decision making skills as well. Realizing the unique learning style of each child we will work together to help each child build on successes no matter how great or small. Each child will progress at their own rate securing a sound foundation for later learning. Your child's self esteem is a priority to future success and our goal is to see them become confident learners this year!
Along with the children's academic foundation we concentrate on their spiritual development. In October they will dress as saints and participate in Mass on All Saints Day, perform in a Christmas Program and plan and partcipate in a Spring Mass. In keeping with Catholic Social Justice Teachings the children will partcipate in service projects that will require their own effort, time and talent to execute as a class.
